In the photo above is another view of Valpariso taken from the top the famous Polanco ascensor. We then returned to Santiago where we took a Lan Chile flight south to the beautiful Lakes Region of Chile. We landed in the southern city of Puerto Montt from which we started a spectacular tour ("Cruce de Lagos") by boat and bus across the Andes mountains to Argentina. An early stop on the tour was the waterfalls "Saltos del Rio Petrohue" shown in the photo below.
