We visited our Costa Rican friends again in February and March of 2004 to celebrate the Doctorate Degree recently earned by Marielos at the Univeristy of Extremadura in Cáceres, Spain. At a celebration with her family members, Craig is presenting a commerative gift to Marielos as shown in the photo above. In the photo below our friend Victor is helping Marielos hold her Doctoral thesis entitled: "Estudio sobre el lenguage de los escolares costarricenses - - El léxico básico - La ortografía y su características". My novice translation to English would be something like this: "The Study about the Language of Costa Rican School Children - - The Basic Vocabulary - - The Spelling and their Caracteristics".
