In the photo above we are enjoying the Caribbean beach on Punta Cocles with Maria and Victor. We spent several days here and explored the beaches and beach towns of Puerto Viejo, Punta Uva and Punta Manzanillo. On the way back to San Jose, south of Limon we visited Aviarios del Caribe where we saw "Buttercup", an orphaned sloth. The owners of this wildlife sanctuary probably know more about the elusive sloths than anyone else in the world. In the photo below, Victor is holding "Buttercup" who was featured in a TV special on the Discovery Channel. We enjoyed our third trip to Costa Rica and hope to be able to visit this beautiful country again.
