During our 2000 European trip we visited England again and our friends, Jill and Ray, took us to more interesting places in their country. In the photo above is Queen Victoria's summer home at Osborne on the Isle of Wight off the southern coast of England. In the photo below is the town of Cheddar where the famous cheese was invented. There is a large gorge or "gash" as the English call it, in the landscape. We visited a large cave here at saw the remains of the famous prehistoric "Cheddar Man" in this interesting village.
