On the Salisbury Plain we visited Stonehenge shown in the photo above. Trilithons, crosspieces that join pairs of monoliths in the outer circle, make a mysterious site unique among Britain's many prehistoric rings of standing stones. In the photo below is the interior of the Salisbury Cathedral. The Cathedral's spire at 400 feet is the highest in England.
