While traveling from Warsaw to Krakow, Poland, we visited the 14th century Paulite Monastery at Jasna Gora. The photo above shows the church alter. In an adjacent chapel is the famous Icon of the Black Madonna, known as the "Queen of Poland" and is a National symbol. The photo below is from our visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi Concentration Camps. A visit to this horrible historical place is a very sobering event.
