We took day trips to the nearby Portuguese cities of Evora and Elvas. In the photo above is the ruins of the Roman Temple in Evora circa 2 A.D. The photo below shows the old walled city of Elvas. It was also a challenge to drive even our very small rental car through the very narrow streets of this historic city.
