In the photo above is a impressive train and subway station, the Estacão do Oriente, built for the Expo '98 World Fair held in Lisbon from May to September 1998. We took the subway from our hotel in the center of town to tour the Expo site. Connected to the station on the Expo side is a spectacular shopping mall. Beyond on mall is the Expo site with the Vasco da Gama Tower shown in the photo below. The view from the top of the tower was fantastic!
