Barcelona hosted the 1992 Olympics and in the photo above is the Olympic Ring. The ring, stadium and other Olympic venues are located on Montjuïc, a large hilly area in the city near the coast. The photo below is perhaps the City's most famous monument, Antoni Guadi's Templo Expiatiorio de la Sagrada Familia. Guadi died before completing it. Amid controversy work restarted in the late 1950s and still continues to this day.
