The photo above is the Iglesia de San Francisco Javier located inside the walled city of Cáceres. This enclosed "Old City" was declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1986. The photo below is the Iglesia de San Mateo also within this Monument City. It is impossible to capture in photos the beauty of this place. Cáceres also has an adjoining modern city and is home to the University of Extremadura.
