We left Mérida by walking across the ancient Roman Bridge shown in the photo above on our way to the bus station for the return trip to Cáceres. On another day trip we visited the interesting city of Trujillo, the birth place of the famous Spanish Conquistador, Francisco Pizarro. He is shown on his horse in the photo below.
