In March and April, 2002, we again had the opportunity to visit Spain and Portugal. We stayed with our friends, Marielos and Emérita, in their apartment in Cáceres, Spain. Both of them are studying for their PhD degrees in their respective professions at the University of Extremadura; Marielos in Linguistics and Emérita in Veterinary Medicine. We enjoyed a wonderful visit with them and traveled together by rental car to various parts of Spain and Portugal. In the above photo Betty, Marielos and Emérita are in the Plaza Mayor of Cáceres. The photo below of Marielos, Craig and Emérita was taken in the area of Cáceres we call the "Rambla" because of it's similarity to the Rambla in Barcelona, Spain.
