In June and July 2002 Marielos visited us in Phoenix to brush up on her English as part of her doctoral studies in Spain. In the photo above she is enjoying Monument Valley in Northern Arizona and Utah. Also during this sojourn we visited the Glen Canyon Dam in Page and Lake Powell, the Grand Canyon (the 3rd time for Marielos), Flagstaff with a visit to Walnut Canyon to see the ruins of the Sinagua Indians, and the Lowell Observatory where the planet Pluto was discovered. In the photo below she is studying English!
